Today I FINALLY did an original beauty post. I have been longing to do something like this. Hope you enjoy reading! These are some of the makeup/beauty tricks I use! I probably snatched some off the internet a couple years ago, but most of them, I did improvise and figure myself. Not a beauty expert or guru, simply sharing some of the tricks which work for me ♥
1) Blotting Paper & Concealer
Blotting paper is perfect for whenever you are out on a long day and you have a little excess shine which you have to get rid off. Don’t forget to bring a small bottle of concealer to touch up on any faded makeup!

2) Q-tips & Moisturizers
These little babies always save the day when it comes to tidying up eye makeup. Be sure to carry these around at all times!
3) Lip Balm
Apply lipbalm the night before to prep your lips! This ensures that your lips are soft as baby’s skin the next day. Suggestion: apply lipbalm once more right before you start to apply your makeup.

4) Foundation or BB cream?
If you’re confused on whether you should be using foundation or BB cream, you’ve come to the right place! If your skin is dry/combination, I suggest using BB cream. It has tons of benefits which help to hydrate your skin properly. If your skin is oily, stick to foundation. Most BB creams have hydrating benefits. While your skin is already hydrated with your natural oils, there is no need for extra help. It would simply result in a sticky face, which is certainly not what you’d like.

5) Texturizing Spray
One of the big hair trends this season is mermaid waves. To accomplish this hairstyle, a sea salt texturizing spray is necessary. Simply create curls or waves with your hair straightener or a 32mm curling wand. Then, spray some texturizing spray into your hair and scrunch it up! There are many of these sprays out there. Check out Sephora and your local drugstores.

6) A go-to perfume/fragrance mist
Whether to attract a guy's attention or simply smell good, a go-to perfume or fragrance mist is a must on every girl's vanity. Be it Marc Jacobs, Victoria's Secret, Chanel or Dior, at least one perfume or fragrance mist is essential. Wear this everyday, everywhere you go, to smell good 24/7. Tip: purchase an empty travel sized perfume bottle from local drugstores to carry a smaller version of it around.

7) Cleansing Water
Cleansing Water is a great way to freshen up in the morning, especially if you are rushing for time. A simply spritz and you're good to go! Saves the trouble of washing your face thoroughly. However, don't forget to cleanse your face with facial cleanser regularly as well! Cleansing Waters are also great after a long day, or after exercise.

8) Lip Gloss
Want to achieve a plump lip? Lip gloss is your buddy. They help to give the illusion of a fuller, plumper lip. Tip: Purchase a colourless one as well, for your matte lipsticks.

9) Brighten Your Inner Corners
Brightening your inner corners is an extremely important step to achieving a really nice big eye. Simply apply some white eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes. It makes a huge difference.

10) Stay Matte
This only applies to those who would prefer a matte look to a dewy look. In order to stay matte throughout the day, I suggest carrying around your favourite setting or matte powder, to re-apply after touching up on your concealer throughout the day.

11) Press On Nails
Impatient with nail polish? Press on nails are now hot in the market! Just head down to any drugstore and find yourself some pretty colours. Press on nails are fast and hassle-free!
