Dreaming In Pumps

Today I FINALLY did an original beauty post. I have been longing to do something like this. Hope you enjoy reading! These are some of the makeup/beauty tricks I use! I probably snatched some off the internet a couple years ago, but most of them, I did improvise and figure myself. Not a beauty expert or guru, simply sharing some of the tricks which work for me ♥

1) Blotting Paper & Concealer

Blotting paper is perfect for whenever you are out on a long day and you have a little excess shine which you have to get rid off. Don’t forget to bring a small bottle of concealer to touch up on any faded makeup!

Concealer: E.L.F. Tone Correcting Concealer

2) Q-tips & Moisturizers

These little babies always save the day when it comes to tidying up eye makeup. Be sure to carry these around at all times!

3) Lip Balm

Apply lipbalm the night before to prep your lips! This ensures that your lips are soft as baby’s skin the next day. Suggestion: apply lipbalm once more right before you start to apply your makeup.

Lipbalm: EOS Lipbalm in Strawberry Sorbet

4) Foundation or BB cream?

If you’re confused on whether you should be using foundation or BB cream, you’ve come to the right place! If your skin is dry/combination, I suggest using BB cream. It has tons of benefits which help to hydrate your skin properly. If your skin is oily, stick to foundation. Most BB creams have hydrating benefits. While your skin is already hydrated with your natural oils, there is no need for extra help. It would simply result in a sticky face, which is certainly not what you’d like.

Foundation: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation

5) Texturizing Spray

One of the big hair trends this season is mermaid waves. To accomplish this hairstyle, a sea salt texturizing spray is necessary. Simply create curls or waves with your hair straightener or a 32mm curling wand. Then, spray some texturizing spray into your hair and scrunch it up! There are many of these sprays out there. Check out Sephora and your local drugstores.

Texturizing Spray: Tony & Guy Sea Salt Texturizing Spray

6) A go-to perfume/fragrance mist

Whether to attract a guy's attention or simply smell good, a go-to perfume or fragrance mist is a must on every girl's vanity. Be it Marc Jacobs, Victoria's Secret, Chanel or Dior, at least one perfume or fragrance mist is essential. Wear this everyday, everywhere you go, to smell good 24/7. Tip: purchase an empty travel sized perfume bottle from local drugstores to carry a smaller version of it around.

Fragrance Mist: Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction, Victoria's Secret Love Spell

7) Cleansing Water

Cleansing Water is a great way to freshen up in the morning, especially if you are rushing for time. A simply spritz and you're good to go! Saves the trouble of washing your face thoroughly. However, don't forget to cleanse your face with facial cleanser regularly as well! Cleansing Waters are also great after a long day, or after exercise.

Cleansing Water: Bio-essence Miracle Bio Water

8) Lip Gloss

Want to achieve a plump lip? Lip gloss is your buddy. They help to give the illusion of a fuller, plumper lip. Tip: Purchase a colourless one as well, for your matte lipsticks.

Lip Gloss: Benefit Cosmetics Love At First Shine Gloss Set

9) Brighten Your Inner Corners

Brightening your inner corners is an extremely important step to achieving a really nice big eye. Simply apply some white eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes. It makes a huge difference.

Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette ‘Strange’, Maybelline Colour Tattoo ‘05 Too Cool’

10) Stay Matte

This only applies to those who would prefer a matte look to a dewy look. In order to stay matte throughout the day, I suggest carrying around your favourite setting or matte powder, to re-apply after touching up on your concealer throughout the day.

Powder: Essence Cosmetics Fix & Matte Translucent Loose Powder, Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

11) Press On Nails

Impatient with nail polish? Press on nails are now hot in the market! Just head down to any drugstore and find yourself some pretty colours. Press on nails are fast and hassle-free!

Press On Nails: Impressed Nails

Hello dreamers! ✿ I know I still owe y'all  Favourite Fashion Trends (part 2) but I haven't blogged in so long and I have a ton of things on my to do list, so I decided to do a simple post.

Anyway, today I created a set called "Pastel + Floral". It is a very simple outfit set. The idea that I'm trying to get across here is the connection between floral and pastel.

I think that floral prints and pastel colours match perfectly and that these patterns are ideal for the spring time. This is why I picked out a dirty pastel purple clutch to match the floral pullover. The reason why I chose a golden statement necklace is because the pullover was already eye catching. The gold statement necklace is plain but bold, which would be perfect as it would not clash with the floral prints on the pullover.

Hope you enjoyed reading and stay tuned to my Polyvore for much more updates + sets!

See you soon, dreamers! ♡

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I have updated this blog. I have been extremely busy lately and I have finally found the time to sit down and blog about my favourite things! What better way to start blogging again than share with my readers my favourite fashion trends?

Firstly, I love the statement necklace trend right now. Statement necklaces can make an outfit stand out - needless to say, they are very important in an outfit. Contrary to popular belief, statement necklaces do not always have to be paired with a plain top. They also help patterned tops stand out, as shown in the third outfit below. Pairing it with a collared blouse is one of my favourite ways to wear statement necklaces. I also love the pastel coloured statement necklaces - they are perfect for making an edgy outfit look girly at the same time! There are so many things you can do to your outfits with statement necklaces.

Hey beauties!! Back with a new post! This post is about striped clothings. I love striped pants and tops, shoes, everything but it can get tricky to match them. I will be quick and elaborate on how to match striped apparel.

Hey girls! As promised, here is the modern version I have put together of the previous blogpost (Country Girl). I hope you enjoy!

Hi girls!! Today's outfit coordinate is a cow girl/vintage outfit. It is simple but very cute. I will be doing things slightly differently in this post because I am quite busy - From now on til the end of November, my schedule is going to be packed. I will have many activities back to back every single day; there is not a single day I get to rest and I have to plan for my CCA's camp next week (YES! We have not finished planning!) Hope it wouldn't turn out to be a disaster. Anyway, I will be only posting the photo of it and a little elaboration on it, with the link to the set on Polyvore. There, you will be able to find all the links to each clothing piece in the outfit.
